Why care labels are a legal matter
In most export markets the care label is regulated: fibre content, country of origin and care instructions must appear in prescribed formats. A beautiful garment with a non-compliant label can be refused at customs.
GINETEX / ISO 3758 symbols
The five care symbols — wash, bleach, dry, iron, professional care — follow the GINETEX / ISO 3758 system across the EU and much of the world. We produce care labels with the correct symbol set and multi-language text blocks on request.
US specifics: CPSIA and the FTC
